We went to get a Christmas tree today at a farm we started going to last year. The vibes are perfect. Dogs everywhere, free Jim Beam in cider, fire to warm up and cook sausages or marshmallows for s’mores, and a fresh snow last night. 10/10 day.

I just went through some of the old projects on my drive to show you- here are a few!! A lot of H. pylori fans haha- it does look really cool and make an eye catching project!

A Petri dish embroidery project. Thee bacteria are embroidered on this project. Two have dark blue membranes, one is pale blue. They have French knots in the middle (orange and light blue on the dark blue bacteria, dark blue and yellow on the light blue bacteria).

I bought a lot of the best donuts in Madison for my new advisory class today, and leftovers went to one of my classes and my department. I survived the first day, and woo I want to go to bed! Here is me at the beginning of the day before the chaos began :)

An H. pylori bacterium stitched on a 4 inch embroidery hoop. A senior in high school made this for the Petri dish embroidery project we do in infectious diseases and global health. The bacterium is in different shades of blue, and the flagella are purple. There are three different embroidery stitches that he used, per project requirements, and the student continued to embroider after the project.

Today is my birthday. We went out for dinner and I found an oyster on the menu that describes me and I could not stop giggling.
