Its not all the time! Thats whats weird. I mean I guess maybe it's an individual website coding thing, but it never happened to me on android so it really stuck out when I switched.
OKAY ANOTHER THING Why do they think I'd want to scroll sideways in a page of text that has been dynamically resized and reformatted to fit my mobile screen? There's no content to the right or left, but if you don't scroll down perfectly straight there it goes wibble-wobbling down the screen.
