Taken in June 2020 in The Meadows, during COVID lockdown, when we were all feeling trapped and looking for escape. Haar (mist) had blanketed the city, adding to the general atmosphere and making figures and shapes indistinct. The view is through railings that give the appearance of the bars of a jail cell, with a man walking from left to right, his left hand held up to his face. In the distance, another, fainter figure strides from right to left, with others even further away walking under trees shrouded in haar. Edinburgh, Scotland.
